• Clerk Grade: Level 5/6. Base salary $99,938 p.a. to $ 110,271 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The role of Senior Genealogy Researcher provides genealogy research services to determine estate entitlement primarily in relation to intestate estates and to locate estate beneficiaries. Entitlement is to be determined according to the laws of NSW with research extending beyond Australia to overseas jurisdictions. You will be working as part of a team of specialist genealogists and supporting the work of NSW Trustee and Guardian. The role delivers quality services that align with NSW Trustee and Guardian's Customer Excellence Principles and meets the needs of customers and the agency.

About You

You have a passion for research, are a lateral thinker with an inquisitive mind and have experience in genealogy research and understanding of succession law, especially intestacy or relevant research experience.

You will be:

• A self-starter who can work independently and prioritise time to achieve targets
• A team player who works collaboratively to guide and support team members and contributes to the team culture
• Proficient in identifying and processing multiple data sources to obtain accurate information, in a timely fashion

Key Knowledge and Experience

• Experience in estate administration and understanding of succession law, especially intestacy or relevant research experience
• Knowledge, understanding and experience in using contemporary genealogy search tools to evaluate evidence
