The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have a vital role in shaping our workforce — attracting, sourcing, and onboarding talented people who embody our values and deliver meaningful outcomes for our clients and communities.

They will partner with leaders across the organisation to design and deliver inclusive, trauma-informed, and values-aligned recruitment processes. They will have full ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle — from engaging job ads and proactive sourcing to candidate experience, onboarding, and reporting.

They will act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing insight and guidance to ensure our hiring decisions are fair, equitable, and aligned with our mission.

About The Role
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will partner with leaders across the organisation to design and deliver inclusive, trauma-informed, and values-aligned recruitment processes. You'll take ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle — from engaging job ads and proactive sourcing to candidate experience, onboarding, and reporting.

You'll act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing insight and guidance to ensure our hiring decisions are fair, equitable, and aligned with our mission.

This is a full-time position, 38 hours per week with flexibility to manage the nature of the role, Monday to Friday.

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist with;

Essential

  • A commitment to work within and contribute to the vision, mission, core values, and manifesto of Ruah.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, preferably in the community services, healthcare, or NFP sector.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed recruitment practices.
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment for a variety of roles and contemporary sourcing strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a range of candidates and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of recruitment compliance, best practices, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Experience using Microsoft suite, ATS or HRIS platforms and confident with data and reporting
  • Full working rights in Australia.

Desirable

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of diversity and social inclusion- including gender, sexuality, disability, cultural, age, and linguistic diversity and Aboriginal culture.
  • Knowledge of the SCHADS Award or other relevant awards
