About us

Commercial Sewing is a third generation family business operating for over 40 years. We have a small team that work together to manufacture a large range of Australian Made products for mining, trucking, agriculture, shipping, cargo, government and safety product industries. We operate 630am - 230pm Mon - Fri 930am - 200pm shifts available (Ideal for parents with children at school)

Qualifications & experience

  • Current Fork Lift ticket (Not essential, for the right candidate we will send for training)
  • Excel, Word and Outlook Experience (Basic understanding to be able to obtain information for emailing and communicating with clients)
  • Customer Service Skills The confidence and ability to converse with clients both in person, over email and on the phone. Product knowledge will develop over time.
  • Basic Bookkeeping is desirable but not essential.
  • Be able to lift up to 20kg boxes
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Follow directions to manufacture products consisting of: ROPE - Such as ladders for ships, cargo nets, safety nets etc WIRE - Hose Restraints, Cable Stockings, Wire Ladders WEBBING - Snatch straps and Tow Straps up to 200,000kg Breaking PVC - Custom Bags and Shade Sails etc
  • General House Keeping Duties Sweeping, Moping, Cleaning, Tidying, Empty bins etc
  • Customer Service As your knowledge and experience in our products grow, we are looking for a person with the ability to develop into a customer service person in our front reception dealing with clients.
