About our Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Plant Maintenance Lead to join our Dandenong manufacturing facility. In this time-sensitive environment, you will be responsible for ensuring all planned and preventative maintenance activities are conducted in order to ensure reliability, safety, performance and timely output of all plant equipment and machinery. Your role within the Operations Team will be to support hands-on on the factory floor with conducting preventative and corrective maintenance, supporting equipment upgrades and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and safety.

In addition, you will:

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
• KVAL – Upkeep of Prehung machine & preventative maintenance
• Preventative Maintenance on Spindle moulders, Trenchers , Saws
• Enter jobs into and run reports out of MEX
• Support procurement and implementation of new equipment and upgrades
• Conduct welding and fabrication tasks
• Collaborate with production, engineering and logistics teams to develop maintenance plans, procure parts and oversee the execution of maintenance tasks on plant and facilities
• Contribute innovate ideas to improve existing products, plant and process

About You

You will have previous experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance with a strong mechanical aptitude and fault-find skills as well as a trade in Mechanical Fitting, Plant Mechanics or a related field. Strong people skills with the ability to remain focused under pressure will also be the key to success in this fast-paced but rewarding role.

In addition, you will bring:

• Forklift License or willingness to obtain
• Familiarity with engineering and maintenance management software such as MEX
• Sound knowledge of all Pneumatic, hydraulics functionalities and systems
• Knowledge of operational aspect of Routers, general maintenance and programs
• Knowledge of Dust extraction systems and operate Furnace
• Basic welding, grinding and general tooling upkeep
• Current unrestricted driver's licence
