We are partnered with a leading national firm seeking a talented Senior Associate (first / second year) for its Sydney Disputes practice. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-performing team known for acting on some of the most sophisticated matters in the market - across both the public and private sectors.

The Opportunity

You will be joining a Dispute Resolution & Litigation team known for its diverse client base, spanning:

  • Major government departments and regulatory bodies
  • ASX-listed and multinational corporations
  • Leading property developers and investors
  • Media and technology companies
  • SMEs and high-net-worth individuals

The firm is seeing strong growth in the Sydney market, and this new role reflects both internal progression and an exciting increase in work across:

  • Contractual, corporate and commercial disputes
  • Regulatory matters and administrative law
  • Corporate insolvency and restructuring
  • Public law and judicial review
  • Complex leasing disputes (retail, industrial, commercial)
  • Property-related litigation, including make-good and sale/acquisition disputes

You will work with two highly regarded Partners and a Senior Associate who bring a breadth of expertise and real depth to the practice:

  • A senior disputes partner with decades of experience acting in complex commercial and regulatory disputes, known for managing litigation with strategic clarity and pragmatism.
  • A partner with a strong public sector and administrative law background, regularly acting in judicial review matters and sensitive disputes involving public policy.
  • A former in-house counsel with strong industry insights, particularly across property, planning and government sectors - combining legal acumen with commercial perspective.

The team is genuinely collaborative, down-to-earth, and invests in mentoring and supporting career development. You won't be siloed - you'll get direct client contact, courtroom experience, and the chance to build your own practice with real partner support.
