Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an Underwriting Assistant to join this well-established agency. You'll work closely with senior underwriters across renewals, endorsements, new business and broker communication, ensuring all policies and documentation are processed accurately and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of insurance experience (broking, underwriting or claims) who's eager to progress and build a long-term underwriting career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process new business, renewals, and endorsements in line with underwriting guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support to underwriters including data entry, documentation, and policy management.
  • Liaise with brokers, clients, and insurers to deliver timely and accurate information.
  • Maintain and update internal systems and databases.
  • Support the preparation of reports, compliance documentation, and audits.
  • Contribute to a high-performing and collaborative team environment.

About You

  • 2-3 years' experience in insurance administration, underwriting, or broking.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume tasks.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance systems.
  • Based in Melbourne's eastern or south-eastern suburbs.
  • A proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
