About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join the ProGroup team, carrying out electrical works across both commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. As the Qualified Supervisor, the role will oversee and sign off electrical work in accordance with statutory requirements and licensing authority standards. The position requires an experienced and licensed electrician who can work independently, deliver high-quality outcomes, and ensure all projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to client satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform electrical works including installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of systems across residential and commercial settings.
  • Act as the Qualified Supervisor for electrical works, certifying compliance with regulatory standards and signing off work as required.
  • Ensure all electrical installations and repairs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Independently assess, scope, and quote electrical works.
  • Liaise with Facilities Manager/Project Supervisor to plan and deliver project activities within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to apprentices or subcontractors when required.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance reports.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and management to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure adherence to ProGroup's Integrated Management System (IMS) and HSEQ policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by reporting non-conformities and suggesting process enhancements.

What we're looking for

  • Current and valid Electrical License with Qualified Supervisor endorsement (NSW Fair Trading or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical works across both residential and commercial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, Building Codes, and electrical regulations.
  • Additional accreditation (e.g., test & tag, solar, data cabling) is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on practical solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client and stakeholder engagement.
  • Valid White Card and Working with Children Check.
  • Current driver's license and ability to travel to multiple job sites across greater Sydney.
  • Medical assessment required for this role.
