About the role:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized and reliable Bookkeeper to support our finance and office operations.
- Reporting to Manager and Senior Management, the role will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities;
- Cash management, including oversight of debtors and creditors
- Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments in line with company policies
- Prepare and manage invoices, receipts, and payments
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions including coding, verifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile supplier and customer statements, resolve discrepancies, and manage billing/invoicing inquiries.
- Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts.
- Timely and accurate processing of Payroll and the maintenance of accurate payroll records
- Prepare, maintain and present management reports for the business including maintenance of the product costing system and the sales reporting system
- Work across several subsidiary companies to manage Group structure
- Liaison with Senior Management, Bank personnel and external Accountants
- Handle sensitive and confidential business and personal information with strict confidentiality, tact and discretion
- Supporting the team with administrative and workflow-related tasks
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems to ensure records are organised and up to date.
- Communicating with clients and employees (email/phone) in a professional and respectful manner
About you:
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and results driven individual that takes ownership in their role and works for the best interests of the Company.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Relevant Degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance and administration position, or similar role
- Commitment to driving continuous improvement and assisting a Senior Management team to successfully maintain business growth
- Experience in providing high level and consistent professional support to Senior Management and colleagues
- High degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to deliver outcomes.
- Competence in the use of computer applications including accounting systems & Microsoft Office suite and CRM & ERP systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to think laterally and propose solutions
- A high level of organisation and time management, with the ability to work proactively in a deadline-driven environment
- Proven experience in both working independently and as part of a team
- High level attention to detail and accuracy
- Results driven and ability to communicate effectively with confidence to all levels of Management, staff and external clients
- Knowledge of office management, systems and procedures
- Friendly, positive and flexible attitude
