Our Global Clean Energy & Transmission team works across a range of different projects from transmission, distribution, storage and clean energy generation. We are working with developers and operators of clean energy and transmission assets as they look to transform their portfolios to meet the worlds decarbonisation ambition.
To support this in Australia and New Zealand region, we are seeking to appoint a Director with a proven background in managing teams and delivering projects and programs in the Clean Energy & Transmission sector to lead our New South Wales team out of Sydney. This role intends to provide leadership at market, client, technical and team development level, to support the continued success and expansion of our Clean Energy & transmission service offering in Australia and New Zealand region.

Job Description
As a Director of Clean Energy and Transmission, you will have experience in the Clean Energy sector and transmission sector with knowledge of:
- Transmission & Distribution projects, programs & portfolios
- Development and delivery of Clean Energy and Storage schemes connecting to the grid.
Established relationships with state, national and international clients, and understand the requirements for strategy, set-up, and delivery of capital projects & programs in public and private sector.
Be a strategic leader and SME to leading teams and providing advice on complex projects across the clean energy and transmission sector from pursuits and bids through to execution and delivery
Has technical understanding of Project Management, Commercial Management and Project Controls, and the interfaces with engineering and grid compliance.
Experience in pursing and responding to government style tenders
A track record of achieving business growth in the provision of services and market share in the clean energy and transmission sector
Experience to engage at industry level to represent the business and brand building at key industry and sector events and collaborations
Qualifications
- 20+ years of relevant industry experience predominantly in the Energy and Transmission.
- A recognised Degree qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar.
- An electrical technical background whilst not mandatory for the role, will be considered advantageous in delivering the role
- Experience working in the Clean Energy & transmission sector, with a proven track record in successfully delivering major projects and programs.
- A broad understanding of the electricity value chain from generation, through grid, and into supply, and of regulatory and permitting requirements and industry trends.
- Preference for Australian experience with an established network within the power & transmission industry supply chain.
- Experience of working within both client and consultant environments an advantage.
- Experience adopting a 'key client' partnering approach and supporting growth through such relationships.
- Proactive approach to business development via new and existing clients, including cross-selling opportunities, and leading pursuits and tenders.
- Have a passion for mentoring the team and future generations.
