About the role

We are currently looking for a
Principal Transmission Line Engineer - GridLinkx
to join our Sydney office. The Principal Transmission Line Engineer will build and maintain strong relationships across our client base and facilitate the effective delivery of design packages to our client's expectations. Reporting to the APAC Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating teams of engineers to successfully deliver transmission lines projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

The Principal Transmission Line Engineer (Civil / Structural) is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality design solutions for high voltage transmission line (specially REZ)-related projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and contributing to strategic planning and innovation.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the design and delivery of transmission infrastructure
  • Undertake technical and non-technical activities in the planning, design and construction of overhead Transmission Lines
  • Advanced proficiency in PLS software (PLS-CADD, TOWER and POLE)
  • High-voltage transmission tower design (up to 500kV)
  • Strong technical understanding of overhead transmission line systems, structural design, and associated standards
  • Familiarity with Australian and international codes and standards relevant to transmission infrastructure (e.g., AS/NZS 7000, ASCE 74, ASCE 10 and IEEE
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills, with a focus on quality and delivery
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPENG) accreditation is preferred
