We are currently seeking dedicated support workers, who wish to make a difference in the everyday lives of NDIS participants as we experience growth across Logan.
The Position
Support NDIS participants living with mental health and physical challenges as they work toward their goals. You'll play a key role in promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing through person-centered care and positive behaviour support. You should be compassionate, kind hearted and outgoing. You should be able to work independently or in a team and have the flexibility to work across a variety of shifts including weekdays and weekends.
General Duties
- As directed by the Client Service Manager, and in-line with the client's NDIS goals, duties may include:
- Providing personal care and assisting with daily living tasks
- Supporting community access and social engagement
- Completing shift reports and following behaviour support plans
- Performing light domestic duties and household tasks
About You
Being friendly and patient with people living with disability.
Professional attitude and willing to learn and be committed to continuous personal development.
Skills and Competencies
Strong English skills including writing, speaking, reading, and listening.
Proficient computer skills, with easy access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Ability to follow instructions and work within the limitations of the position.
Ability to work independently.
Requirements
First Aid and CPR
Current Queensland driver's license
Reliable vehicle
You will be required to apply for or hold a current blue card and yellow card (or NDIS Worker Screening)
