Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Gold Coast, QLD, for a
QBCC Accredited Architect
. The Architect will play a key role in the design and delivery of residential and community projects, ensuring compliance with QBCC standards and relevant planning regulations. Daily tasks include developing design concepts, producing architectural documentation, liaising with consultants, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. The Architect will also contribute to risk management, planning approvals, and maintaining project documentation.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural design from concept through to final delivery, ensuring compliance with QBCC standards, planning approvals, and building codes
- Develop design solutions that balance innovation, function, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Foster strong relationships with clients, councils, and stakeholders through proactive communication
- Oversee documentation, approvals, and construction-phase design services
- Represent the business with professionalism, integrity, and commitment to excellence
Role Requirements:
- 5–7+ years' experience as an Architect with proven residential and community project delivery
- Current
QBCC Architectural Accreditation
(essential) - Strong knowledge of Queensland building codes, standards, and compliance requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture with registration in Queensland
- Excellent communication, design leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines
- Organised, motivated, and commercially astute with strong client-facing skills
