The Role

We're seeking skilled polywelders to join our project teams in the delivery of HDPE pipeline projects for the mining sector. The role is a combination of labouring, polywelding, machinery operation in a high-risk working environment.

Our current projects include medium to large diameter pipeline welding and assembly, pump installation and commissioning, fabrication of custom HDPE spools for project specific requirements, and hydrotesting.

The role is best suited to physically able, mechanically minded people with an interest in learning and developing a specialised skillset in the piping sector.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 2 years' experience on polywelding machines, and highly preferred candidates will also have experience with the following machinery/competencies (note this is not essential):

  • High Risk Dogging / Forklift
  • Excavators
  • Backhoes
  • IT Loaders
  • Diesel and electric pump sets

Requirements
  • Current QLD Health Assessment (Coal Board Medical)
  • Australian Driver's License (truck license is a bonus)
  • Relevant RII qualifications for operating equipment (highly preferred)
  • Standard 11 and BMA Core Inductions (highly preferred)
  • Strong Safety Commitment
  • Good team player, pride in your work, and a can-do attitude are a must
Rosters

The available rosters are currently as follows:

5/2 Day Shift Roster (suited to DIDO workers only)

  • Late start Monday/early knock Friday - home 3 nights a week
  • Travel allowance paid on every hour worked for an effective 60-hour paid week
  • Must live within 400km of Moranbah

8/6 Day Shift Roster

  • Travel in Monday for a Tuesday morning start. Travel out on Day 8.
  • Flights supplied from Brisbane (local workers still welcome to apply)
