Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team on a freelance basis. This mid-level position demands a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience. The successful candidate will work from various locations including Rockhampton, Sunshine Coast, Wendouree, Ballarat, Perth, Brisbane, and Hervey Bay, providing expertise in managing and optimizing network systems.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient with CCNA certification; a fundamental requirement for grasping networking concepts and operations effectively.
  • Strong expertise in Cisco systems, facilitating robust network management and implementation with established protocols.
  • Comprehensive understanding of firewall configurations to ensure network security and data protection from threats.
  • Experience with Access Point set-ups for optimal wireless network coverage and performance in diverse environments.
  • In-depth knowledge in Switching and Routing, essential for efficient data flow and connectivity across network infrastructures.
  • Accomplished in Troubleshooting network issues, focusing on swift identification and resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Cabling and Rack Setup skills, vital for maintaining organized and efficient physical network infrastructure.
  • Strong networking proficiency to design, implement, and maintain network solutions that align with client requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage network configurations and hardware to meet organizational requirements.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability to optimize service levels.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to assess and implement new technologies that enhance overall network efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations and operations for future reference and compliance.
  • Implement network security measures to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Evaluate and improve network systems by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing upgrades.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of network projects to align with business goals and timelines.
