We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced housekeeper to join our dynamic team and help maintain our high standards of cleanliness and hospitality at Arkana Motor Inn located in the heart of Mount Gambier.

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for guests.


Major responsibilities:

  • Room Cleaning: Clean and service guest rooms, replace linens and amenities, and report maintenance issues.

  • Public Areas: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in lobbies, hallways, and other shared spaces.

  • Laundry: Handle washing, drying, and stocking of linens and towels if required.

  • Guest Requests: Respond promptly and professionally to guest needs.

  • Safety: Follow health, safety, and hotel procedures at all times.

  • Teamwork: Assist team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.


Ideal requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good physical stamina to handle manual tasks like lifting and bending.

  • Quick-learning ability

  • Availability to work a 7-day rotating roster and willingness to work on public holidays within reason
