Biomedical Technician Senior

What you'll do
Deliver high level technology support services with minimal supervision including but not limited to preventive maintenance, repairs, installation, commissioning, de-installation and general technical support.
Independently solve complex technical problems regarding health technology equipment and systems.
Perform cross-discipline activity as required.
Accurately document activity in the relevant information systems.
Provide supervision, training and support to fellow team members, including technical practice supervision and/or supervision of small work groups.
Assist supervisors and managers as directed with service planning, establishing priorities and scheduling major work programs.
Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members and managers, to achieve service delivery objectives.
Contribute to the development and continual improvement of technical practice and processes.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
An Associate Diploma (generally graduating prior to the year 2000) or a Diploma or Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) (Year 2000 onwards), tertiary, or equivalent formal qualification(s) in the field of Engineering.
The licences, certifications and accreditations required to carry out activities within the relevant discipline areas, or willingness and ability to make significant progress towards obtaining such during the first 6 months of employment. For example: Restricted Electrical Work Licence; Queensland radiation use licence.
A 'C' class drivers licence is required and you will be required to drive Queensland Health vehicles as part of general duties.
Proven high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in the maintenance, installation and technical support of health technology equipment and systems, including medical imaging systems and/or associated technology.
Proven ability to apply independent judgment and initiative to effectively plan, execute and coordinate technical service delivery with minimal guidance from more senior practitioners.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members and managers.
Proven ability to work as an effective team member to achieve organisational goals.
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
