Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team. The Maintenance Officer is responsible to deliver municipal and infrastructure services, including repairs and maintenance, to the properties managed by YRHAC including communities. You will work closely with the Works Foreman and Operations Manager to perform the day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake repairs and maintenance work activities as directed by the Works Foreman and Operations Manager including but not limited to carpentry, painting, plumbing, tiling, fencing, welding, roofing and gyprocking.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair works are carried out to a high standard in the most cost-effective manner and within the quickest time frame possible.
  • Operate machinery safely and ensure that all vehicles, maintenance equipment, machinery, safety gear and tools are well maintained and returned to their place.
  • Provide assistance to Yilli's other departments when required.
  • Undertake any other duties as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and facilities as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in maintenance and or repairs
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
