What You'll Do

  • Prepare samples for fire assay (fluxing, mixing, and furnace loading)
  • Pouring, removing slag, and preparing buttons
  • Loading and unloading muffle furnaces
  • Taking prills in preparation for analysis
  • Following work instructions and safety procedures at all times
  • Maintaining accurate records and log sheets

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a geochemistry fire assay laboratory
  • Strong numerical and literacy skills (especially in understanding number sequences)
  • High attention to detail
  • The ability to follow procedures and instructions precisely
  • A positive, flexible attitude and strong team focus
  • The physical capability to work in a high-temperature and demanding environment
