Company DescriptionMyLab Pathology is a privately owned histopathology laboratory located in Salisbury, Brisbane. We have a position available for a Laboratory Technician with additional administration duties to work Monday to Friday within the hours of 6:00AM to 2:00PM. Training will be provided to successful candidate.Duties:Unpacking and accessioning of specimensData entrySimple and complex grossingMicrotomyGeneral clean-up of laboratorySpecimen filingAnswering phone callsCollecting specimens from medical clinicsEssential criteria:Science qualification (e.g. certificates, Bachelor degree etc.)Typing speed of >70WPMConfident and experienced with computers, able to touch type, and frequently used programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookBe available for a split shifts and with the flexibility to work longer/other shifts at late noticeMust hold a current open QLD licenseAble to lift and carry medical, clinical, and laboratory supplies (up to 20kg)Ideal criteria:Ability to perform all allocated tasks in an accurate and timely manner, with minimal to no supervisionSelf-motivated and organised with a keen sense for improvementProfessional appearance and presentationCleanliness within the workplaceMaintain attention to detail under pressureExcellent customer service, interpersonal skills and effective communicationIf you are interested in this position and are able to commence work immediately, please submit a cover letter and resume through Seek ().
