Here at our Ferntree Gully Head Office we are looking to for a positive, engaging Team Leader to join our fun and welcoming Bakery/Pastry production team.

Please note - Due to the variety and volumes of our products, candidates should be aware that working with certain food products, e.g. meats, dairy or gluten-based items is a requirement of this role.

Permanent, full-time role offering routine and security working 8+ hour shifts at great bakery hours for true work life balance.

  • 5 days per week from Sunday to Thursday
  • Sunday from 7am-1pm,
  • Monday to Thursday from 5am-1.30pm

Lead by example as you mentor our team of 20, utilising your previous experience leading a pastry/bakery production team, ideally in a high volume setting, with a strong understanding of correct food handling procedures and a 'Safety First' approach always.

  • Team leader/Supervisor experience in a food manufacturing setting, ideally in Pastry/bakery kitchens

  • Self drive and motivation

The role will require the following:

  • Planning and scheduling staff, ordering and stocktake
  • Learning the Tasty Fresh Food Co. values and way
  • Competently (and without assistance) lift kg frequently
  • Work in a cool room environment (below 5 degrees)
  • Physically capable of bending, lifting, twisting, stretching and reaching forward frequently
  • Perform repetitive work while adhering to quality and safety standards
  • Using equipment and tools, as well as operating machinery for preparation and processing (Pastry sheeting experience highly regarded)
  • Stand in one place for long periods of time
  • Maintaining and cleaning equipment and facilities
  • Computer knowledge
  • Forklift licence highly regarded
