Senior Program Officer, Governance

As Senior Program Officer, Governance, Service Support, you will specifically:
- Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of complex programs and projects to meet organisational goals and ensure all programs comply with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Manage program resources effectively to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards and identify and address program risks and issues, developing strategies to mitigate their impact on program delivery.
- Provide expert advice on program-related matters, including policy interpretation, compliance with legislative requirements, and risk management.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, and submissions, including ministerial correspondence and parliamentary responses, to inform senior management and stakeholders.
- Analyse and evaluate program data and trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support program outcomes and represent the organisation in stakeholder negotiations, forums, and meetings, advocating for program objectives and organisational interests.
- Facilitate consultation and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment of expectations and program goals.
- Monitor program performance against established KPIs, ensuring effective governance and accountability and contribute to the development and implementation of governance frameworks to support program success.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team capability and performance and provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
