Qualifications & experience

  • Demonstrated experience in accounting or bookkeeping, with basic accounting skills as a minimum.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines and reporting schedules.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work outputs.

  • Proven ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion.

  • Problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to resolving issues.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new financial systems quickly.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Tasks & responsibilities

Responsible for a wide range of duties to support the Finance Team, including:

  • Raising invoices and processing payments in line with agreed timelines.

  • Processing credit card payments and ensuring accurate allocation to accounts.

  • Processing supplier invoices, credit card transactions, and maintaining related documentation.

  • Recording income such as membership fee payments, donations, and merchandise purchases accurately. Reconciling donations and issuing receipts to donors.

  • Processing inter-branch account transfers.

  • Assisting with general banking tasks and the membership cash-up procedure.

  • Providing timely responses to finance-related queries and collaborating with team members to resolve discrepancies.

  • Performing other ad hoc accounting duties as required to support the broader Finance Team.
