Our client, based in the CBD, is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to provide immediate support across payroll, month-end and core accounting functions.

Your Day-to-day

  • Prepare and post payroll journals with accuracy and timeliness
  • Support the month-end close, including accruals, prepayments and reporting tasks
  • Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
  • Assist with data analysis, variance investigation and reporting insights
  • Provide backup support to Accounts Payable, ensuring smooth processing flows
  • Use advanced Excel skills to manipulate data, streamline processes and improve reporting

Who You Are

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role
  • Currently studying toward, or already completed, CA/CPA qualification
  • Strong understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations and month-end activities
  • Confident with Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
