About the Business

Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The Plutonic Gold Mine produces 85koz of gold annually. The Company also holds the Four Eagles Gold Project in Bendigo.

Over the next 12 to 18 months, the Company plans to bring three new mining areas at Plutonic into production.

The Role

Come and be a part of the Maintenance team of over 60 people with combined underground experience spanning over 80+ years. You will be working a roster of 7 days on 7 days off working dayshift and nightshift.

Reporting to the Underground Maintenance Foreman, our Light Vehicle fitters are responsible for leading the light vehicle team, quality preventative, planned and breakdown maintenance services to our Underground and surface Light Vehicle Fleet.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Recognised Australian Trade Certificate.
  • Recognised OEM and or 3rd party training and diagnostic skills for Toyota Vehicles
  • Proven mine site experience in an underground environment.
  • Previous Experience on Toyota Landcruiser Vehicles.
  • Quality workmanship with excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong knowledge of underground Maintenance systems and troubleshooting techniques
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety.
  • Highly motivated and able to work autonomously.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a positive work ethic

The Plutonic Camp is situated just 5 minutes away from the Maintenance Department boasting an impressive 6 bay steel structured HD workshop with 2 x overhead cranes and a Pit, $4+ Million worth of parts situated in the middle of the workshop with easy access. There is also a separate Light Vehicle workshop, with a separate boilermaker workshop attached. The Dewatering department have a standalone workshop and laydown area off to the side of the main workshop.
