Job Purpose 

To proficiently execute warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring accurate and timely handling of materials, inventory, and shipments. This role actively supports the overall production process by maintaining efficient workflows and collaborating with other departments.



Key Job Functions

Receiving and Shipping:

  • Ensure accurate receiving of incoming goods and verify them against purchase orders and shipping documents.

  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage.

  • Prepare and dispatch goods in a timely manner to meet customer or production requirements.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and reconciliation of discrepancies.

  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage orders. (majorly SAP)

  • Conduct daily cycle counts, investigate stock discrepancies, and escalate to warehouse lead.

  • Coordinate cycle IN/OUT, initiate write off request and stock movements.

  • Label, organize, and store products in accordance with established safety and quality procedures.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

  • Operate forklifts, high reach, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Prepare materials and products for production as per manufacturing schedules.

  • Ensure end of shift handover is completed timely and effectively, and close the loop of open tasks.

  • Coordinate with the supply chain and coordinate information on out-of-stocks promptly.

  • Assign tasks to the warehouse team on the floor and optimize manpower utilisation.

  • Complete warehouse operator's timesheet (UKG vs Chronos).

  • Ensure the warehouse/logistics operators are trained and signed off per their defined levels.

Logistics Support:

  • Coordinate transportation and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, shipping companies, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues or delays.

  • Overlook Warehouse operations in night shift by working in night shifts - ideally once or twice a fortnight.

  • Ensure all logistics activities are conducted safely by internal and external teams as per company policies.



Experience /Training

  • Knowledge of SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Suite will be added advantage

  • Material handling equipment such as electric tuggers and forklift/high reach (Fork lift license necessary)

  • High reach experience preferred

  • RF scanner experience essential  

  • Physical handling of raw materials and items around the plant

  • At least 3 years of experience as team lead with a proven results and record

OHS Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all OHS policies and procedures

  • Take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions

  • Report all hazards, accidents and incidents immediately to respective Team Leaders

  • Ensure that personal protective clothing and equipment is worn and used to perform the job safely
