About the Role

We are seeking a caring and reliable Support Worker to provide personal care supports to an NDIS participant. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, compassion, and a commitment to duty of care.

While prior experience is an advantage, we welcome candidates with the right attitude and competence. We will support you to grow and excel in this sector.

Role Details (Please Read)

  • Shift times: Weekday afternoons (2:45 pm – 6:30 pm)
  • Pay: Competitive rate + travel reimbursement
  • Expectations: Punctuality and reliability are critical to avoid disruption of participant's care routine.
  • Opportunity: More shifts will be offered once the participant feels comfortable. We are seeking someone committed for long term.

Key Duties

  • Assist participant with transportation and community access (including school pickup).
  • Provide personal care supports: showering, toileting, continence care, meal preparation.
  • Follow the NDIS Code of Conduct and participant's shift plan.
  • Support participant to achieve their personal goals.
  • Maintain accurate records: timesheets, shift notes, incident/risk reports.
  • Communicate honestly and transparently with the team and family.
  • Remain vigilant about in-home and outdoor risks.
  • Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and consistency at all times.

You are a dependable, empathetic, and proactive support worker with:

  • Commitment to participant safety, dignity, and wellbeing.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $36.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
