About the role

The Senior Data Engineer will join a small, dynamic team, reporting into senior leaders. The role designs and implements pipelines, oversees deliveries, and mentors junior engineers. You'll work directly with stakeholders, managing solutions across data, cloud and AI platforms to deliver measurable outcomes.

Duties/Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines, models, and warehouses
  • Deliver solutions across cloud platforms with Python, SQL or Spark
  • Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and deliver outcomes
  • Mentor junior engineers and ensure best practice in delivery

Skills and experience

  • Strong understanding of data concepts, modelling, warehousing and ETL
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL or Spark with clean, scalable code skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Client-facing or stakeholder engagement experience
  • Knowledge of visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI) beneficial
  • Understanding of good data security practices
