Teddy Espresso Smithfield - Y TWO K PTY LTD, is seeking for an experienced barista to join our passionate and dynamic team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible to serve quality cups of coffee with friendly customer service-ultimately, we are thriving for the best coffee experience

Responsibilities:

  • Daily maintenance of coffee equipment including opening and cleaning.
  • Monitor and dial coffees served to maintain the utmost quality of each and every cup.
  • Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, adhering to our recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure presentation of the final products up to standard including latte art.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work-station , ensuring compliance with sanitation regulation.
  • Efficient communication with team members for smooth workflow.
  • Read the space and team play for effective and efficient workflow.
  • Uphold Teddy Espresso's brand image and values at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Barista in specialty coffee roasters.
  • Extensive understandings in specialty coffee including Origins, Processing Methods, Varietals and Roasting.
  • Ability to cup and score in accordance with SCA standard.
  • Knowledge to create brew recipes with the factors of Grind Size, Does, Yield, Brew Time and Temperature.
  • Knowledge of current and past coffee culture.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Strong customer service skill and problem solving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Salary Range $63,000 - $70,000
