Amtek is an Australian owned and operated company. We specialise in building bespoke vehicles for a range of Government and private clients including Ambulance Victoria, Victoria Police, Sheriffs department, St John's Ambulance, Defence, Royal Flying Doctor Service and many more

Across NSW, VIC and WA we have more than 200 employees and continue to build our Amtek teams.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Auto Electrician to guide and oversee our talented team of Auto Electricians ensuring we provide, quality and timely products to our clients.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning of fit out for Auto Electrical components on custom vehicle builds and fit outs.
  • Read and Interpret schematics diagrams for conversion into projects
  • Guiding  a small team of Auto Electricians, ensuring fit outs are completed according to project design, quality standards and schedule.
  • Working hands on, along side your team fitting out vehicles
  • Oversee projects for quality assurance and time management
  • Coordination of electrical parts required for projects
  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Building and fitting of Emergency Vehicle Accessories including light bars, bull bars, antennas etc
  • Carry out Auto Electrical repairs, servicing and maintenances of vehicle accessories for a range of Emergency Service vehicles.
  • Working with all stakeholders to schedule work builds and ensure a high quality product.
  • 240V experience would be an additional advantage

The successful candidate will need to be motivated, reliable, genuine and committed to achieve high standards of fit and finish to all our vehicles. You will need to work well within a team environment, take direction, have high attention to detail and exhibit pride in your work.

Experience and Qualification requirements:

  • Automotive Electrical Qualification / Licence
  • Min 5 years experience as a Qualified Auto Elec
  • Supervisor experience preferable
  • 240V experience desirable
