Job Description
The Student and Academic Services Administration Officer will provide administrative support for a range of services within the Student & Academic Services team. This position involves assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks, responding to student inquiries, managing events, processing student forms, and maintaining student records.
This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, experience in higher education or international education, and ability to multitask in a dynamic office environment. The role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within the teams, contributing to an effective and high-quality student experience.
Qualifications
Essential:
- IT literacy, including proficiency with Student Information Systems or databases, and advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle competing priorities effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience or knowledge of office procedures within higher education or international education settings
- Demonstrated experience in following instructions and established procedures, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to relate well to students and staff in an educational setting.
- Experience in following instructions and established procedures efficiently and under direct supervision.
- Ability to independently resolve routine problems or tasks as they arise and assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Desirable:
- Degree or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in an administrative role and within the higher education sector, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Knowledge of or experience in international student education.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
