About Atlas Fuels

We're a fast-growing fuel logistics and services company supporting WA industry. We're looking for a commercially savvy Finance Manager to own our finance function and partner with operations to drive performance and growth.

Role Snapshot

Reporting to the Directors, you'll lead all finance and accounting activities—setting the direction for budgeting, reporting, controls and systems—while translating numbers into clear actions for the business.

What you'll do

  • Own the finance roadmap: design practical budgeting, accounting and cash-management policies; track results and continuously improve.
  • Guide the business with insight: provide timely financial analysis, explain impacts on performance and funding requirements, and recommend actions.
  • Run robust systems: oversee implementation and upkeep of accounting/ERP processes to ensure accuracy, speed and strong internal controls.
  • Deliver high-quality reporting: lead monthly, quarterly and annual statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and forward-looking forecasts.
  • Evaluate spend & growth: assess capital expenditure and operational projects, model scenarios, and advise on return and risk.
  • Capital & investments: recommend investment approaches, funding options and dividend/distribution settings aligned to strategy.
  • Plan for the long term: drive budgets, rolling forecasts and profitability modelling to support sustainable growth.
  • Stay compliant: ensure adherence to Australian accounting standards, tax and other financial legislation; coordinate audit and external advisors.

What you'll bring

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance; CA/CPA (or other relevant education) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar leadership role—exposure to transport, fuel, logistics or asset-heavy operations is a plus.
  • Track record in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and cash-flow control.
  • Hands-on systems experience (e.g., Xero, MYOB, NetSuite or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Clear communicator who can influence non-finance stakeholders and mentor a small team.
