ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer who has already gained a foundation in engineering and project delivery, and is now ready to take the next step toward a career in project engineering and management.

At Enviropacific, we are committed to supporting the growth of our people. You will work alongside experienced project managers and senior engineers while taking ownership of specific project tasks and deliverables. This role provides a clear pathway to grow into a Project Engineer role with increasing responsibility, and ultimately toward Project Management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Studying functional statements, organisational charts and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication;
  • Establishing work measurement programs and analysing work samples to develop standards for labour utilisation;
  • Analysing workforce utilisation, facility layout, operational data and production schedules and costs to determine optimum worker and equipment efficiencies;
  • Designing mechanical equipment, machines, components, products for manufacture, and plant and systems for construction;
  • Developing specifications for manufacture, and determining materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities and layout of plant and systems;
  • Organising and managing project labour and the delivery of materials, plant and equipment;
  • Establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations;
  • Inspecting plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained;
  • Directing the maintenance of plant buildings and equipment, and coordinating the requirements for new designs, surveys and maintenance schedules.

ABOUT YOU

This role will suit an engineer with a few years of practical experience who is ambitious about growing into a future Project Manager. You will have a strong technical foundation and a genuine interest in water treatment, while looking for an opportunity to broaden your exposure to project delivery, client engagement, and commercial responsibilities.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with advanced technical expertise.
  • 3-5+ years' professional engineering experience, ideally with exposure to water treatment, construction, or process industries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive, ambitious mindset with an interest in developing into project engineering and management roles.
  • A strong working understanding of CAD.
