It is the receptionist who creates a good first and last impression on our clients.

The role of the receptionist will include but not be limited to:

  • Serving as a representative of the hospital, displaying a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude in all interactions with clients, patients, and other staff members.

  • Managing incoming phone calls and emails, directing enquiries to the appropriate team members

  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining the clinic's appointment calendar

  • Handling client payments and maintaining accurate financial records

  • Assisting the veterinary team with various administrative tasks as required

  • Maintaining a clean and organised reception area

  • Providing general information and advice to clients about their pets' care

  • Communicates detailed information between clients and staff members.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably within the healthcare or medical industry

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, patients, and the veterinary team

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively

  • Proficiency in using computer software, including patient management systems and Microsoft Office suite

  • A passion for the wellbeing of animals and a genuine interest in the veterinary field

  • A friendly, professional, and empathetic demeanour
