We're seeking a capable and motivated Senior Estimator with residential construction experience to join our team on a 6-month full-time contract.

This is a great opportunity to work across a diverse range of residential projects, including Single Storey, Two Storey, Grouped Housing (depending on fit), and Regional builds. You'll gain valuable exposure and play a key role in delivering high-quality projects while being supported by an experienced, inclusive team.

High performance in this role may also lead to a permanent senior position within the business.


About the Role:

You'll be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of estimates and related documentation to support our construction team. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed and accurate Bill of Quantities and take-offs from plans
  • Producing estimates for base designs, variations, and siteworks
  • Collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors to confirm pricing and availability
  • Generating purchase orders and ensuring alignment with project budgets
  • Supporting internal teams (sales, prestart, construction) with timely pricing insights
  • Identifying potential cost risks and ensuring margin integrity
  • Contributing to cost planning for a variety of project types, from single homes to grouped dwellings

What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 5 years of residential estimating experience
  • Proven ability to interpret construction drawings and documentation
  • Excellent knowledge of building materials and construction processes
  • Proficient in industry estimating software (e.g., Databuild, Buildsoft)
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with wider teams
