Retail Assistant – Sacca's Fine Foods

Sacca's Fine Foods is a proudly family-owned and fast-growing business, well known for our fresh produce, exceptional customer service, and strong ties to the local community. Our newly opened, state-of-the-art Broadmeadows location is a one-stop shop featuring fresh food, grocery, deli, bakery, butcher, seafood, and a full-service café and bistro.

We're now seeking enthusiastic and reliable Retail Assistants to join our team and help deliver an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.

About the Role:

As a Retail Assistant, you'll work across various departments within the store – including grocery, fresh food, and customer service – ensuring shelves are stocked, displays are appealing, and customers are greeted with friendly, efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with inquiries and provide helpful, friendly service
  • Replenish shelves and maintain stock levels across departments
  • Ensure all displays are clean, tidy, and well-presented
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle transactions accurately
  • Support with general cleaning and store housekeeping duties
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
  • Assist other departments (deli, produce, bakery, etc.) as required

About You:

  • Previous retail or supermarket experience is preferred but not essential
  • A strong customer service focus with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Physically fit and comfortable performing manual tasks and standing for long periods
  • Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
