Permanent part-time role available, 60 hours p.f.
Working with us
Competitive pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $687,580 p.a. comprising:

  • Base salary ranges between $8,062 and $10,221 p.f. (L18-L27) (Paid pro rata for part time employee).
  • 5 weeks annual recreational leave accumulation with 17.5% loading when taken.
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.
  • Attraction and Retention incentive allowance of 40-50% base annual salary.
  • Regional and Rural attraction allowance of 15% base annual salary.
  • Motor Vehicle Allowance.
  • Clinical Manager Allowance.
  • Professional Development Allowance and Leave of 3.6 weeks p.a.

About The Role
Work in the Mount Isa Emergency Department as a Senior Medical Officer or Staff Specialist, providing Emergency Care to patients whilst supporting and providing advice for the remote locations within North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS).
Be actively involved in education and training including the prevocational medical staff, ACRRM and ACEM training programs and training of our workforce.
Support continued improvement of health services by participating in quality improvement opportunities.
Requirements

  • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
  • Hold unconditional registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • While not mandatory an interest in Public and/or Indigenous Health would be well regarded.
  • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • A period of probation may apply.
