About the role

Shapland Swim Schools Aura is seeking a qualified teacher or a Traniee swim teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals at our swim school located in Aura. This is an opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Must be available to work mornings, evenings and weekends as required

What you'll be doing

  • Providing high-quality swimming lessons to swimmers of all ages and abilities
  • Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during lessons
  • Maintaining accurate student records and providing feedback to parents/guardians
  • Assisting with the setup and pack-up of equipment as needed
  • Ongoing professional development

What we're looking for in a Qualified Teacher

  • Current ASCTA or AUSTSWIM or AMPD qualification (or equivalent international certification) or trainee teacher who will be gaining the qualification through us.
  • If an experienced teacher preferably able to teach to a range of age groups and skill levels, from babies through to stroke correction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
  • A passion for swimming and a commitment to providing a positive and enriching learning experience for students
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Current Blue Card (Working With Children Check) or ability to obtain one
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
For Trainee Swim Teachers:
  • A love of working with children and helping them learn
  • Dedication, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
  • No prior experience needed — we provide full training and cover all training costs
