About You:

You are a seasoned engineer or a graduate eager to learn, proficient with SolidWorks. You have a driver's license and are willing to travel in AU and NZ to perform site surveys. You are a great communicator who likes to work closely with clients. This job might be for you.

Key Responsibilities:

As a hands-on Application Engineer at Wittur Australia, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Analyse customer requirements and existing elevator door systems to determine suitable modernisation solutions.
• Develop mechanical designs for new or upgraded components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Execute site surveys in both Australia and New Zealand with our customers.
• Evaluate technical and commercial aspects of potential solutions.
• Tailor standard products or systems to align with specific site and client requirements, factoring in layout constraints and performance criteria.
• Work with engineering teams, sales, and production to refine technical proposals and ensure deliverables meet safety, quality, and budget targets.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documents (e.g., drawings, BOMs, installation manuals) for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing technical assistance and troubleshooting guidance to customers, sales teams, and field service personnel.
• Ensure all products and solutions adhere to relevant building codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards.
• Identify opportunities to enhance product performance, production efficiency, and cost-effectiveness through new design concepts or process optimisations.
• Maintain our modernisation design database.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelor/Master of Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Proficiency in Solidworks is essential.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Previous experience in the Lift industry is preferable.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and achieve targets.
• Motivated with a hands-on mentality.
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Full proficiency in English is a must.
