Heavy Diesel Fitter

Raywell Contracting is seeking a heavy diesel fitter for a project at the Yalyalup Sand Mine. The mine site is only a 15-minute drive from Busselton or 40 minutes from Bunbury.

The roster is 8 days on 6 days off, day shift only giving an outstanding work/life balance being home every night.

This is not a FIFO position, the successful candidate must live within a 1-hour drive of the mine on Princefield Rd, Abba River.

General Duties

Performing maintenance tasks on Cat, Bell, Komatsu and Hitachi earthmoving equipment, including

  • performing scheduled 250-hour servicing on all equipment
  • performing breakdown repairs as required
  • Perform minor and major repairs, as well as component changeovers, as required.

Essential criteria for employment:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with heavy machines
  • Strong ability to problem-solve and perform diagnostics
  • Experience with Cat machines, SIS and ET
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Well presented
  • Strong safety culture
  • Australian work authorisation is required for this position

Qualifications, Tickets and Licenses

  • Heavy Diesel trade qualification is specifically required for this role
  • Valid MR (or higher) driver's license
  • Rigging or dogging qualifications are desired but not essential.
  • Working at heights qualifications are desired but not essential.
