Educational Support Officer - Morwell VIC

Contract Type: Ongoing

Sacred Heart Morwell is a small school of 100 students. We have an ongoing position for an Educational Support Officer FTE 0.630 each (4 school days a week).

At Sacred Heart staff work collaboratively to offer a dynamic and vibrant environment which enables personalized learning. Our focus is to accelerate all student learning through the delivery of lessons using High Impact Teaching Strategies.

Sacred Heart Morwell has an ongoing position for an ESO beginning as soon as possible. This may be broken into two positions for the most suitable candidates.

We are looking for an applicant with experience supporting children with learning needs, an empathy for understanding varied learning styles and the ability to work closely with teachers under their guidance.

Selection Criteria

* Commitment to the Catholic Ethos of the school

* Having a strong ability to develop relationships with students, parents, parish and the wider school community

* A commitment to the emotional and educational well-being of students

* Display an ability to work collaboratively in professional teams

*An understanding and knowledge of the child safe standards

*The ability to work under the guidance of teachers

*Certificate III in School-Based Education Support, or working towards completion of the certificate or current studies in education essential.
