About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and dynamic Engagement Lead (NSW/ACT) to help grow OzHarvest's impact by building strong relationships with businesses, corporates, and communities. Based in Sydney and reporting to the Engagement Manager NSW/ACT, this role leads people, programs, and partnerships that connect others to our purpose.

You'll be the key point of contact for corporate partners and supporters' rate, driving engagement programs like Cooking for a Cause, Lunch & Learn and corporate volunteering at our Waterloo Market and Refettorio. You'll also play a pivotal role in business development — generating leads, nurturing partnerships, and helping grow our fundraising pipeline.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who loves people, thrives on connection, and can bring OzHarvest's story to life across NSW and the ACT.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage corporate and community engagement programs across NSW/ACT, including Cooking for a Cause, Lunch & Learn, Tour & Talk, and volunteering initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners and supporters, donors, and community stakeholders—driving lead generation, stewardship, and renewal opportunities.
• Identify and secure new business, fundraising, and partnership opportunities while supporting existing relationships.
• Lead the planning and delivery of engagement events, activations, and fundraising initiatives, managing logistics, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
• Represent OzHarvest through public speaking, media, and events while supporting local and national campaigns.
• Supervise and support the Engagement Coordinator, acting as 2IC for the Engagement Team when required.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting through Salesforce and collaborate with internal teams to align engagement activities with national strategy.

What We're Looking for in You

• 6+ years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or marketing.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Experience delivering client-focused engagement programs and fundraising activities.
• Strategic and results-driven mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Hands-on experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
• High energy, enthusiasm, and alignment with OzHarvest's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Valid Police Check and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain both).
