Our locally owned and operated service centre supports customers across Geelong, the Surf Coast, and regional Victoria.

We're expanding and looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded Hose Doctor to join our team.

The Role

This position combines mobile on-site service work with workshop-based hose assembly. Each day brings variety – you'll diagnose hydraulic faults, repair or replace hoses, and keep local industries running.

Your Responsibilities

  • Remove, repair and replace hydraulic and pneumatic hoses
  • Diagnose and solve hydraulic and mechanical issues on site
  • Manufacture and test hose assemblies in the workshop
  • Operate machinery, lathes, and pressure testing equipment
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain client relationships
  • Participate in a rotating after-hours call-out roster

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience (essential)
  • Hydraulic hose and fittings experience – highly regarded and preferred
  • Heavy Vehicle Licence and/or machinery operator tickets are an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to safety and quality
  • Proven ability to work both independently and within a small team
  • Excellent communication and customer service focus
  • Current manual driver's licence and reliable transport

Candidates with prior experience in hydraulics, mechanical fitting, automotive, agricultural, or industrial maintenance will be given preference.

Base salary: $70,000 – $90,000 + overtime, call-out allowances & super (based on experience)

Location: Geelong, VIC

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.46 per year
