Job Description

The Team

Our Risk, Programs and Cyber (RPC) capability is a leader in trust-based services to the public sector, we are here to support clients whenever a concern or big decision arises. We support clients to achieve outcomes for communities that are increasingly seeking trusted sources of information around issues like organisational integrity, cyber risk, integrity of data, commitment to sustainability and climate change, as well as the efficiency and effectiveness of transformation programs.

Our Governance, Risk and Compliance practice supports our clients to manage, optimise or mitigate risk in a proactive and sustainable way. We work with clients to de-risk operations, programs and new initiatives through upfront advice and establishment, ensuring risk awareness is built in by design, and delivering assurance and compliance services.

The Role

In this role, you will create value by:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager, who is passionate about working with public purpose clients, and helping to build more equitable, resilient, secure and prosperous communities. In this role, you will create value by:

  • Living and promoting our organisational values; and building and fostering our unique team culture
  • Demonstrating a curious mindset, willingness for continuous learning and innovation
  • Managing the delivery of GRC engagements, across multiple clients
  • Working closely with government and for-purpose clients to provide advice, implementation, and assurance over program design, processes, controls and tools for effective governance, risk, and compliance management.
  • Proven ability to lead engagement teams to deliver high quality to clients through mentoring teams, review of key deliverables, and communicating with impact.
  • Developing external relationships with and reporting to client stakeholders, including line management and executive management. 
  • Developing internal relationships across our national GRC practice, and with experts and specialists across the broader RPC capability and other service areas
  • Providing expertise on matters of risk management, corporate governance, business processes, controls and compliance across a range of public sector industries and clients
  • Developing the skills and capabilities of our junior team members through providing effective on the job training
  • Supporting business development through contributing to the preparation of Request for Tender responses and development of thought-leadership material.

Technically, you likely bring to the position:

  • A deep appreciation of our government and for-purpose client's most pressing challenges, and clear perspectives on how those challenges can be met with contemporary governance, risk, and compliance solutions, supported by evidence-based practices.
  • Minimum 7+ years of demonstrated governance, risk and compliance experience, preferably serving the government and for purpose clients or in a professional services environment
  • Relevant qualifications, certifications or memberships (e.g. the Risk Management Institute of Australasia or Governance Institute). 
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver engagements to a high-quality
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders across team members
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of risk management methodologies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and presenting to client stakeholders
  • Continuous learning mindset, staying informed and abreast of key trends, risks, developments and innovations that may impact our clients, our services or our ways of working.
