We're looking for driven and committed VCE Physics tutors to join our passionate tutoring team at Contour Education. Take the lead in helping students get the most out of their learning experience, build strong relationships, and make a real impact. Multiple roles are available across our Victorian campuses: Point Cook, Narre Warren, Glen Waverley, Box Hill, and Melbourne CBD.

Who Are We

We empower students and their studies by providing an ecosystem of highly effective tutoring, resources and support. We run weekly small-group tutoring sessions at our in-person campuses, presented by young and experienced tutors that teach in a simple, intuitive and engaging way. We also supplement these sessions with weekly workshops, complimentary 1-on-1 support and a learning portal with a comprehensive suite of resources and practice material to help students master their subjects.

Competitive Compensation

At Contour, we believe tutors should grow with us—so your compensation reflects the impact you make.Contour tutors typically earn $90–$200 per 2-hour class (plus Super) when starting, depending on experience and class size. We also offer performance bonuses that grow as your student outcomes improve. There are clear pathways to senior roles with higher compensation—where tutors can earn beyond $200 per class. Plus, every tutor enjoys fun perks like paid subscriptions to Netflix, Spotify, Apple Music, Uber One, Amazon Prime, and more.

Academic Requirements

40+ Raw Study Score in VCE Physics

First Year Uni Maths/Engineering/Physics Knowledge or Above

Tutoring Experience in VCE Physics

Academic Awards in Physics

NOTE: These are not hard-fast academic requirements; however, they are favourable to your application.

Other Requirements

• Full Academic Year Commitment (e.g. no overseas exchange trips for 8 weeks)
• Sign an NDA (e.g. can't distribute our resources/organisation info to others)
• Agree to a non-compete clause (e.g. you can't tutor student groups or with other organisations)
• Ability to Commit to Weekly Classes (e.g. can't constantly reschedule or miss classes)
• Travel to our Campuses (e.g. Glen Waverley, CBD, Box Hill, Narre Warren or Point Cook)
• Genuine Desire to Motivate Students (e.g. your primary goal is to help students achieve their potential, like us)
• Past VCE Graduate (students learn best from those who once were in their shoes)
