Oakland Plumbing is a high-standard plumbing business serving Cairns since 2024. We specialise in domestic, strata, and real estate maintenance and renovations, with plans to expand into domestic and commercial construction.

We pride ourselves on quality work, great customer service, and a strong team culture. Now, we're looking for an experienced plumber to join our team for the long term.

The Role:

We're looking for a skilled plumber who can diagnose, problem-solve, and work independently. The ideal candidate will have a background in domestic construction, renovations, and maintenance. You'll work with domestic, strata, real estate, and construction clients, handling a mix of maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and new builds.

We know everyone's life is different, and we want to find the right person for the long term. That's why we're happy to accommodate things like school pickup/drop off, time off for family issues, or when the wind has finally dropped enough to go fishing at the reef. Our goal is to build a strong, reliable team while supporting work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues (leaks, blockages, broken pipes).
• Perform general plumbing maintenance for domestic, strata, and real estate clients.
• Operate independently, problem-solve, and deliver efficient solutions.
• Maintain accurate job notes and timesheets.
• Keep work vehicles stocked, clean, and organized.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• (Desirable): Construction and renovation experience.
• (Desirable): Guttering and roof maintenance experience.

Work Hours & Roster:

Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Rotating on-call/after-hours roster

Flexible scheduling options available to support personal commitments.

What We Offer:

$40 - $50 per hour (based on experience).

Who You Are:

Qualified Plumber with Australian Plumbing Certification.

Confident diagnosing and fixing plumbing issues independently.

Excellent with customers and able to manage relationships professionally.

Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to high-quality work.

Open manual driver's license required.

Bonus: Experience in guttering and roof maintenance.
