About the role.

Wellcamp Business Park is seeking a motivated Surveyor / Graduate Surveryor / Drone Operator to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively with the Civil Construction team, supporting the Project Engineer to deliver projects and services safely, on time, and within budget across Wellcamp Business Park and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Operations Manager, Civil Supervisor and Engineers as part of the Development Team to deliver projects.
  • Checking to ensure work performed on site is within survey and design specifications.
  • Perform a wide variety of drone operations.
  • Providing engineering survey for design, construction and monitoring of civil construction projects.
  • Managing machine guidance systems.
  • Uphold organisational values and work well within the team.

Some of your duties will Include:

  • Calculating & adapting field files for survey.
  • Uploading and downloading project files and data.
  • Drone operation for survey, stock take, maintenance works and AG applications.
  • Setting out and verification of inverts, points, offsets, lines, marks, profiles, pins, pegs for various projects as required.
  • Picking up services, infrastructure and property data for design, engineering and QA and QC.
  • Organisation of QA and QC processes and input and industry guidelines adhered to.
  • Collection and management of general field data.
  • Maintaining best practice survey data storage and file saving.
  • Update, calibrate, verify and monitor guidance files and machine systems for a wide variety of heavy earthmoving equipment.
  • Measure and quantify project status and submit reports.
  • EOM stock take, data analysis, format and input.
  • Identify & escalate any non-conformance or processes that require corrective action.
  • Good conduct and communication with team members.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • A tertiary qualification in surveying, spatial science or relatable level of experience.
  • Knowledge of current engineering and surveying techniques with on site experience in actual project functions and delivery.
  • Experience in Leica/Trimble instruments & 12d / 12d Field, CAD, and use of a full range of surveying equipment.
  • Experience in Trimble / Topcon support and maintaining machine guidance systems.
  • UAV / RePL / ReOC license up to 150kg, experience in using CASA OK2Fly or OpenSky apps, ChemCert / AROC an advantage.
  • Scanning, Lidar, aerial Spraying / Spreading experience will be a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated numerical accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to work well with others.

Wellcamp Business Park is a self-sustaining commercial centre for a diverse and integrated business park business precinct supporting industries such as aviation, transport, manufacturing, commodity processing and warehousing and distribution.

The business park is home to Wellcamp Airport, Corporate Offices and Civil Construction sites, whilst servicing numerous external company facilities within the precinct.
