We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Grounds and Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities team. This is a casual position initially, with the potential for ongoing employment for the right candidate. This role offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and values being part of a supportive team. You'll play a key role in ensuring our school facilities are safe and attractive, with a wide variety of tasks to keep your workday interesting. The casual salary rate is $39.54 per hour.

Duties and Requirements

Maintain and enhance our beautiful school grounds, including:

  • Mowing over 30 acres using commercial-grade equipment
  • Brush cutting, edging, and weeding
  • Trimming trees, shrubs, and hedges with equipment like chainsaws and pole pruners
  • Performing landscaping tasks, such as spreading mulch and rock

General maintenance and labouring :

  • Moving furniture and setting up/breaking down events
  • Rubbish collection and waste management
  • Minor repairs and maintenance
  • Maintaining job-related tools and equipment

​​​​​​Skills and Experience

  • Current driver's licence
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks
  • Experience with zero turn lawn mowers highly regarded
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a busy environment
  • An understanding of and commitment to the Anglican Christian ethos of the School
