Innisfail Hospital is a 49 bed acute care hospital including 3 high dependency beds, staffed by Rural Generalists. We have a busy Emergency Department seeing 20k pxs per year. We have excellent critical care equipment and medical imaging capacity allowing advanced diagnostic and treatment capacity. Our inpatient unit has a 3 bed High Dependency allowing limited critical care capacity locally. Our Obstetric SMOs work with MGP midwives delivering > 200 babies per year with a LCSC rate of 25%. A collaborative environment exists with weekly multidisciplinary antenatal case conference and monthly multidisciplinary instrumental birth case review.
