New 5-month contract – Senior Golang Engineer – Sydney CBD - $900PD - 2 days a week in North Sydney
I've a new contract for a Senior Golang Engineer to join an online business in Sydney. You'll be working closely with the CTO and wider engineering team on a range of data-driven programs supporting millions of customers.
They've built all of their core systems in Go (moving to version 1.24 soon), so recent hands-on experience with Golang is essential. You'll be focused on improving performance, stability and scalability across their data platforms and backend services.
Tech stack: Go, AWS, IaC, TypeScript
Day to day:
Working with Go and infrastructure at scale across data-driven systems
Building, optimising and maintaining robust, high-traffic applications
Partnering with backend and DevOps teams to solve complex technical problems
Supporting data initiatives, integrating services and improving pipelines
Collaborating with product owners and contributing to architecture discussions
This is a great role for a senior engineer who enjoys working on challenging data-focused projects, solving real technical problems, and helping teams deliver better outcomes.
