Summary:

We're on the lookout for a dynamic Account Manager, based in Melbourne. This role is all about managing and growing our highest value, strategic accounts on a global scale. You'll be at the forefront of developing our new accounts and deepening relationships with our largest existing ones for our global property network. Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture relationships with new and existing high-value customers, securing contracts that meet our sales quotas and targets.
  • Seek out potential customers using a mix of direct methods like calling and face-to-face meetings, as well as indirect methods like networking.
  • Manage RFPs as needed, coordinating with internal teams for timely submissions, and ensuring all contractual obligations are properly documented.
  • Collaborate with our Revenue & Distribution team to ensure our products, rates, and availability are easily bookable by travel partners.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with customer contacts (bookers, office managers, etc.) with the goal of driving overall account growth and loyalty.
  • Identify and secure expansion opportunities across existing accounts.
  • Lead the transition of large customer roll-outs starting from contracting until successful first booking, including onboarding to our systems and gathering of booking, invoicing, and payment requirements.
  • Report on key metrics across the account management function.
  • Provide ongoing client support and escalation support.
  • Set up feedback systems between clients and all aspects of the organisation.
  • Work closely with the management team to create long-term retention and expansion strategies for clients.
  • Conduct engaging site inspections at Urban Rest properties, showcasing our stylish apartments and facilities.
  • Stay ahead of the game by researching market trends and identifying strategic opportunities.
  • Gather insights on customer demand, influencing Urban Rest's growth pipeline, and working with the Property Acquisition team to manage exclusive deals.
  • Partner closely with our wider commercial team (Corporate Sales, Reservations, Revenue Management, and Marketing) to seize commercial opportunities and enhance the profitability of the Urban Rest network.

Qualifications:

  • Very strong relationship skills; ability to manage different types of stakeholders and personalities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ready to alleviate client pain points.
  • Proven success in Account Management within the travel industry, with an existing network of contacts.
  • Ability to work autonomously under the leadership of our Director of Sales
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, always on the lookout for new opportunities to grow revenue and expand our network.
  • Excellent personal presentation.
  • Flexible: able to handle large volumes of emails and calls and prioritize appropriately.
